Our unusually rigorous and personalized approach is based on the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s model that Laurie used to train and mentor new teachers and principals during her education career. Nowhere else will you receive this level of love and attention lavished on you to ensure you meet your certification goals—and continue ascending and expanding in your own personal growth.

Unlike all other certification programs, which train you up, then say, “Good luck getting clients on your own!” providing at most canned marketing modules, Shine Your Light immediately hires all certification program graduates as contracted coaches, mentors, and instructors to work as many or few hours as you like. We’re excited to add your brilliant light to our team!

Laurie Gardner has been a fun, fresh voice in personal development for over 35 years. In her sassy, straight-shooting, “Jersey girl does woo-woo” style, she loves sharing tools and practical wisdom for fast, lasting change. Laurie received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard University in world religions, psychology, and education, where she also taught quantum and astrophysics. She is a 35-year, mastery-level instructor of over six dozen body/mind/spirit wellness techniques, creator of the transformational Breakthrough Method,™ author of three books written while fasting on desert vision quests, and a frequent national media guest. An avid world explorer and former Outward Bound wilderness instructor, Laurie has traveled to 60+ countries and 40 states and speaks five languages.

What does SYL certification include?

Shine Your Light’s certification program is a unique hybrid of intensive, small group classes and 1-on-1 training and mentoring to allow for maximum individualized attention, ensuring you attain your certification skills and goals.

Each certification program includes:

  • 6-12 hours of intensive, LIVE, semi-private coaching, training, and instruction from 35-year EXPERT/AUTHOR Laurie Gardner during weekly streamed Zoom certification skills classes for 6 weeks, 2 hours each

  • 6-18 hours of private, individualized mentoring and certification progress monitoring with a Shine Your Light Trainer via Zoom or phone

  • 3-6 hours of weekly practical, transformational homework exercises with SYL trainers, coaches, or peers and individually

  • Real-time practice with live clients during class and your practicum sessions

  • Free recordings of all classes

  • For mentoring and instructor certifications: Real-time video recording practice and feedback from your trainer

  • Demonstrations of mastery with Laurie to assess or adjust readiness toward certification

  • Professional certification and immediate contract work with Shine Your Light upon successful completion (see below)

Pre-Requisites:

All candidates for Shine Your Light Lead Intuitive Coach, Lead Intuitive Mentor, and Lead Instructor/Facilitator must have either:

  • Completed through Level 3 of the Trust Your Gut master class, or

  • Demonstrated equivalent training and experience and a willingness to learn and use Laurie Gardner’s Breakthrough Method™ approach and tools. Laurie will schedule an interview to discuss your background and certification plan.
